HEAP Intake will provide quality, respectful, courteousservice to all individuals served. An overview of responsibilities includes but is not limited to interviewing clients and obtaining all required documentation for the HEAP program according to the program guidelines.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain current knowledge of HEAP, PIPP, and crisis programs, including eligibility requirements, and be able to communicate this information to customers effectively.
Follow up with participants as needed to obtain documentation and complete application processes.
Maintain current knowledge and efficient operation of OCEAN/Portal computer programs (training provided)
Effectively communicate with community partners and provide follow-up as needed.
Complete home visits as needed to meet individual needs.
Provide knowledgeable referrals to other programs within the agency to individuals that meet eligibility.
Perform general office duties, such as filing, scanning, and making copies.
Performs all duties with integrity to ensure programs remain in compliance with all Federal and State Performance Standards.
Other duties as assigned by the Community Services Director.

Strong attention to detail.
Sensitive to the issues of low-income persons, as well as children, elderly and physically and mentally challenged individuals.
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
Associate's degree in a related field (preferred)
One (1) yr. Experience in an office setting. (Preferred)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Physical/Employment Requirements:
Pass pre-employment screenings.
Ability to lift up to 40lbs, stand, sit, and
Must have reliable transportation and insurable under agency insurance policy.
